Starting with a father-son team, The Hungry Greek was founded in West Tampa, Florida in the early 2000’s. They perfected their model and proved their success by opening multiple locations around the greater Tampa Bay area. Like the Greek tradition and customs, our team has an intense passion for our food and our community. Meet Our Team

George Constantinou– Co-Founder/VP Franchise Operations

George put his business degree to great use when he formed a partnership with his father and opened the first Hungry Greek in Westchase. His strong operational background coupled with his ability to train and motivate staff has helped ensure the success of the company owned operations. George provides both initial training support and on-going support for franchise operations.

Dino Constantinou– CEO/ President of Franchise Operations

Dino Constantinou grew up on the Greek island of Cyprus. In 1969, he moved to New York to complete high school and began working in his Uncle’s diner. By the time he was 18, he had been promoted to head chef. In 1977, Dino moved again–to Florida. Here he was able to explore the restaurant business. Dino’s 40+ years in the restaurant business helps him evaluate locations and operations at a glance. His knowledge, warmth and sincerity make him the perfect franchisor.

Denise Stavropolous– Real Estate Director

While working with Fortune 100 companies, Denise gained a strong, diverse background in business and opened her own commercial real estate company that specialized in retails sales and leasing, tenant representation and tenant improvement coordination. Denise works hard to ensure that the franchisee has solid representation during the lease negotiations.

John Armatas- Franchise Sales & Development

John started his franchise career as an owner of FASTSIGNS. After years in the business branched off into franchise development and sales. John goes to great lengths to ensure that there is a good fit between the franchise prospect and the franchisor.

Kayla Mulcahy– Brand Manager/ Visual Marketing Director

Kayla was the perfect choice to handle our communications and public relations. Her knowledge of business, and her artistic background creates the perfect balance of effective and creative Social Media strategies. Kayla has been with the company for almost 10 years, and has assisted in transforming the brand into the marketable franchise opportunity that it is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have prior experience in the restaurant industry?

You do not need any prior experience in the restaurant industry, but it would certainly help. The Hungry Greek provides an excellent training program, and we will be hands-on throughout the entire opening of your new location. In addition, we are also offering an extended Discovery Week where you will shadow one of our managers at a company-owned location. This offer is made to financially qualified candidates who have signed all non-disclosure documents. You will still be expected to attend the full training program once you sign a franchise document.

Does The Hungry Greek offer Multi-Unit Franchise Opportunity?

Absolutely! We understand that you may want the flexibility to open multiple locations and have complete control of your territory. You are provided a protected territory as part of your franchise agreement. We will also provide you a first right of refusal for adjacent territories at the time of your franchise closing.
